Ken McGregor and his daughter were transforming a room into a gaming room when they thought it would be a great idea to paint a game board onto the ceiling to give it that extra gaming flair. They opted for a classic, Scrabble. Check out the fantastic pictures below that Ken sent in:
We chose the proper colors.
Started gridding out the ceiling.
Made the templates for the word “Scrabble” that run vertically on the board.
The first few letters.
And a few more.
The room was far from square and we just left out the parts that were cut out by the shape of the room.
Made the template for the Letter Distribution part.
Transferred that to the ceiling.
Added the number scores.
Now started the main part of the board.
Had to create templates for the Double and Triple Word and Letter scores.
Started painting those on the ceiling.
Work progressing to other parts of the ceiling.
Things are starting to fill in.
Had to add the Star as well.
